What is ending and what is beginning in you?
Everywhere we turn, we hear: “Climate change is a crisis! Act now!” In the face of such urgency, how can we possibly respond with anything other than overwhelm?
Climate chaplaincy helps you figure out exactly that.
Guided by climate change chaplain Rabbi Ora Nitkin-Kaner, uncover how to step out of reactivity and self-abandonment and into ease, agency, and resilient care. Because there is a more emotionally sustainable way to respond to change. And you don’t have to figure it out on your own.
Climate chaplaincy sessions are 1 hour over Zoom, on a schedule you set: twice a month, monthly, or as-needed. See FAQ for pricing and more.
“Isn’t ‘apocalypse’ a little extreme?”
At its heart, fear of apocalypse is the magnification of a basic worry: that everything will change. As human beings, we struggle with change. It’s understandable, then, that thinking about the climate crisis—change on a global scale—leaves us feeling overwhelmed, terrorized, stuck, or shut down.
Exploring Apocalypse is not about increasing fear or imagining doom and disaster. Rather, it’s rooted in the original meaning of ‘apocalypse’: ‘to uncover’ or ‘to reveal.’ This is an invitation to thoughtfully respond—rather than simply react—to the challenges of change, and reveal a more grounded, braver, and more clear-eyed you.

Exploring Apocalypse climate chaplaincy harnesses your intuitive wisdom to move you out of the stuck places. Climate chaplaincy sessions consist of reflective conversations, somatic exercises, guided meditations and visualizations, and values and goal discernment.
During sessions, you’ll explore how your feelings show up in your body; unpack assumptions that dwell below conscious awareness; take stock of your values, resources, and relationships; and engage with your fears and deepest hopes, all facilitated by a compassionate, non-judgmental, and trauma-informed climate change chaplain. Sessions are also practical: with support and guidance, you’ll plan how you—with your particular interests, skills, and capacities—can gracefully navigate a changing world and be a force for good.

Exploring Apocalypse climate chaplaincy sessions address the emotional, the existential, and the practical, as well as the intersection of these elements. Sessions are a creative and collaborative process between you and the climate change chaplain, recognizing that you both bring unique perspectives and wisdom to the process. The overarching goal is to increase your capacity to carry yourself—and even your loved ones and communities—forward with greater agency and joy.
